Blue Rug Juniper Shrub – Live Plant – Groundcover – 4-6 inches Tall

Overview

Introduce a touch of serene blue to your landscape with the blue rug juniper live plant (Juniperus horizontalis Wiltonii). This exceptional low-growing, evergreen groundcover is celebrated for its distinctive silvery-blue foliage that can develop a beautiful purplish tinge during winter months. Originating from the robust Juniperus horizontalis species, Wiltonii is specifically cultivated for its spreading, mat-forming habit, making it an ideal choice for covering large areas with minimal effort. Unlike many shrubs that grow upwards, the blue rug juniper live plant typically reaches only 4-6 inches in height, but its horizontal spread can extend an impressive 6-8 feet wide. This makes it a perfect solution for gardeners seeking effective erosion control on slopes and banks, or simply to fill in expansive garden beds with a consistent, attractive texture.
